The Jury of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Arab Researchers for the 34th Session of 2015 announced that Dr. Ahmed Radwan, Associate Professor at the Nile University and Cairo Universities, has won the Basic Science Award in the field of Information and Data Security, in collaboration with Dr. Abul-Ela Atifi Hassanein from University Cairo to their distinguished scientific production published in the field of information security.
Dr. Radwan was selected among 194 candidates from Arab universities and scientific institutions who competed to win the prizes announced for this round, including Medical and Health Science Award, Engineering Sciences Award, Basic Science Award, Literature and Human, Social and Administrative Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Applied Sciences including Water, Energy, and Environment.
The Shoman Award for Arab Scholars is one of the highest scientific awards in the entire Arab region in various scientific fields.
Dr. Radwan received the State achievements award for research in Mathematical Sciences in 2012, received the Cairo University achievements award for research in the Engineering Sciences in 2013, received the Physical Sciences award in 2013 by Misr El-Khair Institution, and received the Best Researcher Awards Nile University 2015. He is a senior member of IEEE since 2012, member in different international organizations such as: IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Circuit and System Society, IEEE Life Sciences Community, and IEEE Transportation Electrification Initiative (TEI). In 2014, He was selected as a member among 15 PhD holders in all fields (30 – 40 years inside Egypt) to form the first Egyptian Young Academy of Science (EYAS), as a part from the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) . In 2014, he was selected as a member among 50 PhD holder in all fields (inside and outside Egypt) to form the first scientific council of The Egyptian Center for the Advancement of Science, Technology, and Innovation (ECASTI).
